Rohoma Zakir represents employees. She practices in the areas of labour, employment, human rights, and administrative law. Her work spans across Canada in both the public and private sectors. As a litigator, Rohoma regularly appears in courts and tribunals to represent her clients and ensures they are both well-informed and well-protected. She has a special interest in advancing human rights law through both individual workplace accommodation cases and broader Charter challenges.
Rohoma is also determined to find creative ways to organize workplaces—whether it be through a formal union or an informal association. Her work includes advising different types of organizations that have leveraged their collective strength in order to advance social justice and build solidarity within their community.
In representing her clients, Rohoma leads with empathy and is determined to protect her clients’ interests as they go through one of the most difficult transitions of their life. Her priority is to find a solution for her clients that is both efficient and practical.
Rohoma is fluent in Urdu and Hindi and is always looking for opportunities to practice her Russian.
