Articling Student
Candace Nguyen is an Articling Student based in the firm’s Toronto office. Before joining the firm, Candace worked as a Housing Caseworker at Parkdale Community Legal Services, appearing before the Landlord and Tenant Board. She worked with Justicia for Migrant Workers (J4MW) during her secondment as a summer student at RavenLaw. Candace is passionate about community development, workers’ rights, and the right to housing.
Candace received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto in International Development where she received the Global Development Studies Award. She holds a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School. In her last year of Osgoode, she was a Research Assistant for Professor Faisal Bhabha. Before law school, she worked as a barista, piano teacher, and Costco merchandiser, among other things.
Candace enjoys reading, playing board games with her friends and family, and learning new things. She particularly enjoys learning languages and one day hopes to be conversational in Japanese and Vietnamese.
