Claire Boychuk To Present on DEI and Freedom of Expression


On May 29, 2025, Claire Boychuk will be presenting at the County of Carleton Law Association’s Annual Equity Conference. Claire will be speaking on the employment law panel DEI under Threat: Free Expression in Tumultuous Times.  

This panel will explore scenarios where employees have faced repercussions for speaking out on political issues, including expression that takes place inside and outside the workplace. Through these scenarios, the panelists will unpack the legal protections available to employees, the responsibilities of employers, and how organizations can navigate the tension between diversity, equity, inclusion, and expression in the workplace.
