Emily Cumbaa completed her articles with Raven Law. She now practices in the areas of labour and employment law, human rights, disability benefits, and administrative law. Emily advises clients in both English and French regarding wrongful dismissal, severance packages, disability claims, discrimination, and professional discipline. She also represents unions and their members in grievance arbitrations and before labour boards.

Emily feels privileged to assist unions and employees with their legal issues. Before going to law school, she completed a Master’s degree in International Human Rights Law and worked at Legal Aid Ontario. During law school, Emily continued her focus on human rights and social justice by working and volunteering for Pro Bono Students Canada, volunteering with a legal clinic, and conducting in-depth research projects on the capacity to testify before administrative tribunals, statelessness, and refugee law.

Emily loves to travel. She studied abroad in both Sweden and Ireland and has visited every continent except Antarctica.
